UPDATE: The live AMA session was a success, you can find all the answers to your questions and more if you watch the video on YouTube:

The session is also organized into chapters so you can easily find the sections you are interested in. :-)

Hi everyone!

I'm organizing an Ask Me Anything session for Soundscape Design.

It will not be only about Echotopia, my main goal is to raise the level of knowledge and skills of the Insiders in the vocation of soundscape design. The session will be recorded for internal use, mostly for us to understand the main points where designers pain when they want to create soundscapes, and specific questions that arise from various creative fields. All this information goes towards making Echotopia and the sound libraries better.

Topics will include but are not limited to, psychoacoustics, acoustic environments, audio for storytelling, immersive experiences, architectural solutions, content design, etc.

Your presence will count many points towards the Insiders Program awards.

If you have any questions regarding the event, let me know below. :geek:

Nothing yet. I'm waiting for more people to respond.

Right now it seems that Thursday 13:00 - 15:00 (GMT) is the time most people can attend. If more people choose that time I'll organize an event 1 week later so everybody can plan ahead.

I'm super excited for this, the tutorial page was great but with all the different things to consider figuring out how to create what I want is still a struggle.

Glad to hear that. I'm scheduling the event for Thursday, February 10, 13:00 - 15:00 GMT. I'll send an invitation to all of the Insiders and hope some more will attend also.

The event will be held on either Discord or Skype. Skype seems more stable for me so if Discord fails then we will start on Skype. But I will try with Discord in the beginning so everybody on the Insiders can join directly.

You can join with your computer and make sure you got a camera/mic so you can participate or by phone/tablet.

There will be a small break in the middle of the session for a coffee refill. :-)

No need to be sorry, I put my name in the box. I might not like being up early but it was the best time that worked with my schedule too. lol

After much consideration decided to host the event on YouTube. This way everybody can join without thinking about cameras and audio requirements from their part, everybody can post questions beforehand, and the event will be available afterward for those who cannot attend.

The event is now open for question submission on YouTube.
